Shaun has over a decade of experience in competitive motor racing and his background lies in car preparation and development. Started Optimum Motorsport in 2007 and took full control as Team Principal in 2012 and has taken the squad to British GT4 titles in 2013 (Overall), 2016 (Overall) and 2017 (Pro/Am) and to the top step of the SP3 podium in the Dubai 24 Hours on three occasions. 2018 saw Shaun lead the team to the drivers' championship in British GT with Flick Haigh and Jonny Adam.
Former F1 driver Bas Leinders joined Optimum Motorsport in 2018 and as Team Manager is responsible for track-side Operations at both the British GT Championship and International GT Open.
Ollie competes in both the International GT Open and the British GT Championship this year alongside Bradley. The 2018 campaign was a success with two victories and a further two podium positions. This year the GT Open Championship is the firm target.
2007 Champion Bradley return to the British GT Championship this year alongside Ollie in what is a silver-silver pairing. He is also the Pro driver in GT Open where he looks to build on the momentum of 2018 with a title challenge this year.
Jack is well known on the British racing scene, most recently competing in the 24H Proto Series in Dubai and the LMP3 Cup in the UK where he finished third overall. This year he joins Connor in the new Aston Martin Vantage GT4.
Connor steps up from Ginetta GT5 to the British GT Champion in the brand new Aston Martin Vantage GT4 in 2018 with Jack. After making his circuit racing debut in 2017, Connor returned to the Ginetta GT5 Challenge for a second season of competition in 2018. The season proved to be a strong one as Connor finished all but one round of the championship, recording seven top-six results along the way to be classified a solid sixth in the championship standings.
Mike is no stranger to the team having taken GT4 title in 2016 where he notched up three-wins from the first four rounds. There further podium followed to wrap up the title. The British racer was also runner-up in 2015 and 2017. Prior to that he won the British Clio Cup championship with an impressive eight wins from 11 starts. Naturally he is now looking forward to racing in the GT4 category alongside Patrik on his return to the team.
Patrik is new to the Optimum Motorsport, but not the British GT. The young Dane has a great track record in Ginetta Juniors, British F4 and the CREVENTIC Series where he took championship honours in the SP3-GT4 class in 2017. More recently he recorded his first GT4 win in British GT Championship last year at Rockingham on his way to fourth position in the title race and has high expectations for the season ahead.
Formerly the number one mechanic Triple Eight Engineering on the BMW Z4 GT3 in the British GT Championship between 2013 and 2015 before joining Optimum Motorsport. As Chief Mechanic, Jeff worked on the Audi R8 GT3 in the Creventic Series and British GT in 2016. 2017 saw Jeff work on the Michelin GT3 Le Mans Cup as well as the British GT programme with Aston Martin in 2018 and The Audi R8 in GT Open. Over ten 24 Hour Endurance races.
Joined Optimum Motorsport in 2015 following a career in the dealership motor trade. Phil is our Head Mechanic on our Ginetta GT5 programme, number two mechanic to our Audi R8 GT3, Aston Martin GT3 and Ginetta G55 GT4. Over five 24H endurance races.
Since joining in 2016, Alex forms part of our dedicated G40 GT5 personal. He is the number two mechanic to the G55 GT4 in the Creventic 24 Hour Series, GT Cup and Britcar. He has five 24 Hour races also under his belt to date.
