Team Principal Shaun Goff took over Optimum Motorsport in 2007, nurturing talents across multiple Ginetta programmes before moving to British GT and achieving outright championship success in 2018 and 2019.

2022 has proven to be one of the teams' most successful campaigns, claiming the Asian Le Mans GT title back in February, IMSA's Michelin Endurance GTD Cup in September and the inaugural Gold Cup GT World Challenge Europe Endurance crown in October.

The team

History

Team Principal Shaun Goff took over Optimum Motorsport in 2007, nurturing talent across multiple Ginetta programmes whilst aiding the careers of drivers such as Joe Osbourn, Ryan Ratcliffe and Flick Haigh.

The British-based team has secured multiple championship success’, most recently the British GT Championship outright drivers’ title with Flick and Jonny Adam as an Aston Martin Racing customer team. In 2019, Optimum Motorsport remained in the series, claiming the Silver-Silver drivers’ title whilst taking its first Pro-class victory in International GT Open.

History

Team Principal Shaun Goff took over Optimum Motorsport in 2012, nurturing talent across multiple Ginetta programmes whilst aiding the careers of drivers such as Joe Osbourn, Ryan Ratcliffe and Flick Haigh.

The British-based team has secured multiple championship success’, most recently the 2018 British GT Championship outright drivers’ title with Flick and Jonny Adam.

Running the inception racing moniker in 2021, the team plans to compete in multiple GT3 disciplines as well as making its debut at the 24 Hours of Le Mans.

GT3

2021 sees Optimum Motorsport compete in multiple championships with the McLaren 720S GT3, which is entering its third season of competition.

As a McLaren Customer team, the team is looking to carry the momentum from success in GT Open in 2020 into the new season.

GT4

The team has worked with McLaren in the past in the GT4 category, and for 2021 is looking at its options in both the UK and Europe.
