Third Time Lucky For Thiago

Ginetta regular, Thiago Calvet, is aiming for the Ginetta GT5 crown as he enters his third season in the British GT-support championship.

Calvet will return to the championship with Optimum Motorsport and is hoping luck will go his way during 2013.

“I’ve had a bit of bad luck over the last 2 years, which effectively hindered my chances at the title,” said Calvet. My pace has always been good so if Lady Luck is kind this year then I definitely have a chance.”

Thiago Calvet resides in Brazil so will make a 10,000 mile round trip every race weekend to the UK to compete in the Ginetta GT5 Championship. The 27 year old previously raced in single seaters before switching to sportscars. Tiago has scored 4 podiums for Optimum Motorsport.
