After recent success in both Asia and America, Inception Racing head closer to home as the Fanatec GT World Challenge Europe powered by AWS season gets underway this weekend, where Imola, officially known as the Autodromo Enzo e Dino Ferrari will play host to the first Endurance Cup race of the year.

The Inception Racing team made their Championship debut last year, securing Pro-Am pole at the season’s opening race in Monza and were later joined by fellow Optimum Motorsport Bronze driver, Nick Moss at the Paul Ricard 1000km.

The Gold Cup class is new for 2022, where each crew can consist of one Bronze-graded driver, one Silver, and one professional ranked either Gold or Platinum. Brendan, Ollie, and Frederik will line-up within the impressive 13-car field to tackle the 4.9km anti-clockwise circuit.

Frederik Schandorff

“I’m really excited to get starred in GT World Challenge Europe, it’s going to be a great season with the team and looking forward to a great result this weekend. The car feels really strong, and we’ve got a really strong driver line-up as well. Hopefully we can be up there for a podium in this race and for the whole season.”
