Optimum Motorsport head to the third meeting of the British GT Championship this coming weekend at Snetterton (26-27 May) in a positive frame of mind following strong results at both Oulton Park and Rockingham Motor Speedway.

Flick Haigh and Jonny Adam got the season off to the best possible start with a pole to flag win at Oulton Park, while last time out the duo qualified on the front-row of the grid and went on to finish fourth in the #75 Aston Martin Vantage GT3.

Aston Martin has a great record at Snetterton - a circuit that Jonny won at last year - and the team enjoyed a successful test at the Norfolk-based circuit recently with Flick and Jonny working together to maximise the package.

Currently fourth in the drivers’ standings, the team is set for rounds four and five of the championship and is very much one of the pre-race favourites.

Shaun Goff, Team Principal

“We’re in a good position in the championship but we’re aware of areas we can improve and we’ll be aiming for two solid podiums this weekend at Snetterton.”

Flick Haigh

“We are all looking forward to Snetterton, it’s one of my favourite circuits. We have worked really hard over the short break since Rockingham to get the car where we would like it to be. We enter into this round determined to get those much-needed points. The Aston has run well there in the past, and Jonny has had a lot of success at Snetterton... We are all very much ready to show our best hand yet.”

Jonny Adam

“Snetterton has been good hunting ground in the past for me. Winning there in 2017/2015/2014. I love the circuit and it suits the Aston Martin Vantage GT3 really well. Flick is confident after a good test day a few weeks ago so our goal is to get back on that podium. Championship wise it’s okay at the moment but we need to maximise both races as 50 points is up for grabs.”
