Fresh of the back of wrapping up the British GT4 Title with their Ginetta G50, Optimum Motorsport are aiming to re-take the Dubai 24hr title they won so convincingly in 2012.

The four driver assault on the technical Dubai Autodrome Circuit is a strong and experienced one, including regular BMW Z4 British GT3 front runners Joe Osborne and Lee Mowle, and also seasoned Ginetta racer Gary Simms, all three of whom were part of the triumphant 2012 entry. The fourth driver is experienced British GT3 racer Jake Rattenbury, who is no stranger to a Ginetta, having previously competed in the GT4 & GT3 categories with the British marque.

“This year we will be running the new and upgraded 3.7 Litre engine”, quotes Team Principal Shaun Goff: “This little bit of extra power will mean we can produce equivalent or better lap times without putting any further stress on the car. We put in a strong performance at the Gulf 12hrs in Abu Dhabi three weeks ago with a solid second place finish, but I’m looking to go one better in Dubai and re-take our SP3 Class title!”

The Team are also delighted to be supported by OG Media (www.ogmedia.co.uk) who will be documenting their progress throughout the weekend and providing regular YouTube updates as the race progresses.
