Optimum Motorsport confirms that in today’s third round of the International GT Open Championship today at Spa Francorchamps, Nick Moss, driver of the #72 McLaren, suffered an off in the opening laps of the race. Whilst he was able to extradite himself from the car, he was later diagnosed with two fractured vertebrae.
Nick remains in good spirits and otherwise healthy, but this injury therefore precludes him from taking further part in the race weekend.
His condition will be continually assessed over the coming days, and all of us in the team wish him a very speedy recovery and we look forward to seeing him back on track soon, pursuing his passion for the sport.
