Optimum Motorsport Sweeps Up Titles in British GT Finale
Optimum Motorsport concluded an exceptional 2025 British GT Championship campaign with a dominant display at Donington Park, securing four GT4 Championships, including the GT4 Overall Drivers’ Championship, and finishing third overall in the GT3 Teams’ standings.
Heading into the season finale, all eyes were on the title-deciding #DoningtonDecider and Optimum delivered under immense pressure. The team’s #90 McLaren Artura GT4, piloted by Jack Brown and Marc Warren, began the race from fifth on the GT4 grid. In unpredictable weather, Brown made a decisive late-race pass for the lead in damp conditions to take victory and clinch both the GT4 Overall Drivers’ Championship and the GT4 Pro-Am title. The result also marked Brown’s place in the history books as the first-ever two-time GT4 champion, and the first to achieve it in back-to-back seasons.
Luca Hopkinson and Harry George, starting fourth in GT4 in the #17 McLaren, delivered a vital podium with a third-place finish, crossing the line just 0.026s ahead of their closest rivals. That result secured the GT4 Silver/Silver title, third overall in the GT4 standings, and helped Optimum Motorsport successfully defend its GT4 Teams’ Championship.
In GT3, our #77 McLaren of Marvin Kirchhöfer and Morgan Tillbrook started P8 and showed strong early pace before contact ended their race prematurely. Meanwhile, Mike Price and Callum Macleod in the #3 started P12 and delivered a composed drive in tricky conditions to bring the car home, securing third in the GT3 Teams’ Championship.
