Optimum Motorsport to extend relationship with Aston Martin Racing

Having joined the Aston Martin Racing family this year in the British GT Championship, Optimum Motorsport will extend further its relationship with the British brand in 2019 and beyond.

The team intends to be involved in the new Aston Martin Racing GT3 and GT4 race programmes and this will encompass the British GT Championship, both in GT3 and GT4, as well as the GT Open Championship. The team may also compete in selected European events including the Spa 24H.

“We’ve enjoyed our first year as an Aston Martin Racing customer team and we are keen to extend on that relationship next year and beyond,” stated team principal Shaun Goff. “We have enjoyed success on track this year and with a stronger relationship with Aston Martin Racing, perhaps aiding the AMR Young Driver Academy, we expect to be enjoying more in 2019.

“Longer term, we want to race at the very highest level – the 24 Hours of Le Mans – and this is the brand we want to go on that journey with.”
