Optimum Motorsport are delighted to confirm that they will compete in the FIA Motorsport Games this weekend in France. Under the entry of Team Morocco, the team will race the McLaren GT3 720S alongside a host of other nations in the Sprint event at Circuit Paul Ricard, France.

The team (Optimum) first entered the Motorsport Games back in 2019 under the entry of Team Kuwait, racing the #007 Aston Martin Vanatge GT3 in the GT Cup in Vallelunga, Italy.

Team Morocco enters the FIA Motorsport Games for the first time with a single entry in the GT Sprint. The vastly experienced Michael Benyahia, a former Formula Renault 2.0 race winner and British GT podium finishes last year, will race under the country’s flag and colours.

Very much dubbed as the Olympics for Motorsport, the event as a whole invites nations to compete in a range of activities from Drifting and Rallying, to the Formula 4 Cup and GT3 action at the track.

“We’re excited to be heading back to the Motorsport Games, and this time as Team Morocco,” stated Optimum Motorsport Team Principal, Shaun Goff. “We’re looking forward to working with Michael again, he was great earlier on this month in GT Open so now we’re excited to see what he can do this time round.”

The action gets underway on Sunday 30 October, with free practice commencing in the morning, and both qualifying and the race in the afternoon.
