Optimum to withdraw from 2017 Michelin Le Mans Cup programme

Optimum Motorsport confirms that it is to withdraw from the Michelin Le Mans Cup with immediate effect due to Flick Haigh being unable to compete on medical grounds.

As a result, the team will not be taking part in the penultimate round of the championship this weekend at Spa Francorchamps, nor the season finale next month in Portimao.

Haigh and teammate Joe Osborne joined the series at Paul Ricard in 2016 and partnered up again this year in the #75 Audi R8 LMS, taking podiums at Monza, Red Bull Ring and most recently at Paul Ricard.
