It’s here. The most prestigious race in the world: the 24 Hours of Le Mans, the third round of the FIA World Endurance Championship. Ollie Millroy, Brendan Iribe and Ben Barnicoat enter the 90th edition of the event, having debuted in the prestigious race last August.

The #56 crew currently sit fourth in the WEC LMGTE-Am standings, just 20 points behind leaders NorthWest AMR and look to maximise the double points available at the 24-Hour race to solidify their place in fighting for the title.

This year’s Le Mans will feature a record-equalling 23-car GTE-Am entry, as the race’s schedule returns to its traditional mid-June date. Practice and qualifying will run through Wednesday and Thursday while the race will begin at 16:00 CET, Saturday 11 June.

Meanwhile, Optimum Motorsport are set to compete in the third and fourth rounds of the Michelin Le Mans Cup in the Road to Le Mans.

Mark Crader and Alex Mortimer will head out around the 13.6-kilometre circuit in the #20 Duqueine-08, looking for a strong result which came so tantalisingly close in Imola (the championship’s second round) before serving a drive-through penalty for speeding in the pit-lane.

Practice, gets underway on Wednesday, with qualifying and the first race on Thursday at 18:30 CET. The second 55-minute race is Saturday morning, with lights out at 11:20 just before the weekend’s main event.

Ollie Millroy - #56 WEC competitor

“It was a good morning working through our testing programme on Sunday (June 5). It’s great to be back at this awesome place on board the 911 RSR! I’m looking forward to getting out there now for the big one.”
